Round-up: UW maxed out on computer-science space, class-size initiative widens lead

UW seeks more space for computer-science students: An influx of students has filled the University of Washington’s Paul G. Allen Center for Computer Science & Engineering to capacity just 11 years after the building opened. Now, the university is seeking private and public funding to build a new computer-science facility on the Seattle campus.

Class-size initiative widens lead after weekend count: Initiative 1351 was passing with 50.5 percent of the vote as of Saturday night. The measure was initially trailing after election night, but has pulled ahead as more votes were counted in King County.

Fourth Marysville shooting victim dies: Andrew Fryberg, 15, died Friday evening at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. He had been in critical condition in the intensive care unit since the Oct. 24 shooting.
