Field Notes

Covering the natural wonders of the Pacific Northwest

Fairview crows together again.

After a brief foray by one baby crow into the real world Saturday, with one nestling testing out a nearby branch… having flown there… both crows are now back in the nest, doing what baby crows do: preening, fussing, hopping, yanking at the leaves around them and napping.

Not bad for a socked-in cool cloudy Sunday agenda. It’s a stay-in-the-nest sort of day.

Maybe this is the week they will both take wing?
