Seattleites among top YouTube users — but will we pay for it?
YouTube is set to introduce paid subscription channels for the first time this Spring. According to AdAge, the charge will be between $1 and $5 per month for select individual channels. YouTube is also considering charging for access to live events and other types of content.
This could impact a lot of folks in our area — we’re among the top-5 YouTube users in the country. When surveyed, 45.4 percent of us say we’ve recently been on YouTube. As you can see on the chart below, that ranks our metro 4th in the nation.
