New football rankings

The Seattle Times’ new football rankings are out today, with several changes after our preseason rankings took such a beating.

We welcome Mariner of Everett, Lewis and Clark of Spokane and Woodinville to our Class 4A rankings.

In the 3A rankings, Issaquah and Eastside Catholic make the move into the top 10. Bellevue drops to eighth after a 6-0 loss to Skyline, which moved up to third after handing the Wolverines their first shutout in almost 10 years.

Class 4A

1. Ferris 1-0

2. Bothell 1-0

3. Kentridge 1-0

4. Puyallup 1-0

5. Pasco 1-0

6. Eastlake 1-0

7. Oak Harbor 1-0

8. Mariner 1-0

9. Lewis and Clark 1-0

10. Woodinville 1-0

Dropped out: Olympia, Skyview of Vancouver and Gig Harbor.

Class 3A

1. Lakes 1-0

2. Kamiakin 1-0

3. O’Dea 1-0

4. Skyline 1-0

5. Evergreen (White Center) 1-0

6. Ferndale 1-0

7. Franklin Pierce 1-0

8. Bellevue 0-1

9. Issaquah 1-0

10. Eastside Catholic 1-0

Dropped out: Kennedy of Burien and Kennewick.

UPDATE (1:17 p.m.): The West Region Top 20 is out as well, and Lakes is the highest-ranked Washington team at No. 13. Ferris of Spokane is ranked 19th, and Bothell and Skyline are listed as West teams on the bubble.
