New football rankings

Again, a pretty quiet week for The Seattle Times state football rankings. Puyallup drops out after its overtime loss to Graham-Kapowsin, opening the door for Gig Harbor, which has been on a roll after that week 1 loss to Lakes at Qwest.

In Class 3A, North Thurston drops out after losing 42-35 to Shelton, and Kennewick, off its overtime win against Pasco, moves into the 10 spot.

Bet on some movement next week, with four games between top-10 teams. On Friday night, Bothell plays Woodinville at Pop Keeney, Edmonds-Woodway plays Kamiak at Goddard and Kennewick plays at Kamiakin. Then on Saturday night, O’Dea plays Eastside Catholic at Newport.

Get ready. There’s a big week ahead of us.
