Two more Tuesday notes

If you haven’t read our story today on Bothell senior Thomas Guidon, I’d recommend it (and not only because I wrote it). Guidon is a great example of the power of inclusion.

And speaking of inclusion, I’d be remiss if I didn’t make sure to mention that Guidon is not the only hearing-impaired football player in the area. Mose Fuga is a senior FB/DL at Edmonds-Woodway, which has one of the top programs for hearing-impaired students in the state. The Warriors have at least two other hearing-impaired players on the sophomore and freshman teams, too.

On another note, I spoke last week about the brawl in Florida involving 50-plus players. There was a brawl in Michigan this past weekend, and 15 players have been suspended because of it. This video, which includes clips from the brawl, also mentions that four of the players have been banned from all sports.
