State soccer tournament results

CLASS 4A: Eastlake wins the first semifinal with a 3-1 win in the shootout to stay undefeated. The score was tied a 1 after regulation. Still haven’t heard on the other semifinal between Beamer and defending champ Woodinville.

Defense is ruling the Class 3A semifinals at Harry Lang Stadium in Lakewood.

After being tied 0-0 through regulation and overtime, Issaquah and West Valley (Yakima) went to a shootout. And there, defending Class 3A champ Issaquah took the first semifinal with a 5-4 shootout victory. The Eagles will be in their fourth consecutive state championship game (won in 2004 and 2006).

Seattle Prep and Holy Names also tied 0-0 through overtime, and Seattle Prep took the shootout 3-2.

So Seattle Prep will play Issaquah on Saturday at 6 p.m. in a rematch of last year’s championship game.

The semifinals in Class 2A soccer have been completed:

Fife 3, Archbishop Murphy 0.

Burlington-Edison 1, West Valley (Spokane) 0. Burlington-Edison won a 4-3 shootout.

Fife plays Burlington-Edison in the championship at 4 p.m. Saturday at Harry Lang Stadium in Tacoma.

In Class 1A, LaSalle has beaten Seattle Christian 2-1.
