Skyline or O’Dea? Let the talk start here

Skyline or O’Dea? O’Dea or Skyline?

Come on, I know you’ve got something to say on the subject. What a perfect ending for local football fans — especially with a prime-time start of 7:30 p.m. Friday night at the Tacoma Dome. Sure beats those 9 a.m. alarm-clock semifinal games last weekend.

No excuses not to be there this time.

I’ve heard about Skyline’s defense all season. Of course any team that shuts out Bellevue deserves the hype. And I saw it first hand in Saturday’s semifinal game against Franklin Pierce. Five forced turnovers and three defensive touchdowns? Doesn’t get a whole lot better than that.

I’ve heard about O’Dea’s size and speed all season. And I saw those elements first hand in Friday’s semifinal game against Bellevue. The Irish definitely have some big bodies up front and Bellevue simply couldn’t match them.

So, how do you see this game? What are the keys? You’ll get our picks in our special pullout later this week, but we want yours now.

And while you’re at it, what’s your take on Saturday’s Class 4A championship game between Bothell and Lewis and Clark of Spokane? Can Bothell complete its perfect season, or will L-C play spoiler? The Tigers keep finding ways to win. Can they pull off one more upset?

We’d be happy to hear your thoughts on any of the other title games, as well. One more weekend of football. Six more games.

Who will be the six champions?
