Best Football Games of the Year

After watching Edmonds-Woodway’s near comeback against Lewis & Clark’s stingy defense last Saturday, it got me thinking the best games I’ve covered. And that semifinal game is hands down the best. Nothing else comes close.

Brainstorming with Blog-Daddy Tom and some of the other reporters, we thought these would qualify as the some of the best games of the year:

-Skyline’s narrow in over Bellevue

-E-W’s win over Eastlake in the quarterfinals

-Bothell’s win over Ferris in the semis.

But these are few of what were many fantastic games this season. So, again, I’ll turn it over to you guys: What were the best games you saw this season? Speak loud and proud in the comments.

Morning (or today, afternoon) stars:

C.J. Shula, Rogers, boys basketball. Had 32 points in Rogers’ 79-73 OT win over Franklin Pierce.

Shacoby Jenkins, Cleveland, girls basketball. The 5-foot-10 post had a triple-double (26 points, 14 rebounds and 12 blocks. Twelve blocks!) in 64-27 win over Evergreen.

Sarah Anderegg, Interlake, girls basketball. Had 24 points in two-point loss to Granite Falls.
