Storylines for the winter season

With the last weekend in the fall sports season upon us, it’s about time for basketball, wrestling, gymnastics and swimming (did I forget something?).

What are some of the players, teams and storylines for the winter season that we should keep an eye on? I’m sure many of our very knowledgeable readers know of an entertaining or newsworthy bit of information.

I’ll start. Did you know O’Dea running back Johri Fogerson is cousins with Detroit Lions running back Kevin Jones? Fogerson will also get no rest after tonight’s Class 3A title game — he’ll start basketball practice Saturday morning.

Before I forget, did anyone see the final play in the Class 4A football championship game in Minnesota? Here’s hoping for some similar excitement at the Tacoma Dome…

Have some fun in the comments.
