Girls basketball rankings

Lewis & Clark remains the No. 1 in Class 4A, but there’s a new No. 1 in Class 3A, through no fault of the former top-ranked team, Lakes. After Auburn Riverside blew out rival Auburn last Friday, it didn’t feel right not having the defending champ Ravens at the top. They’ve now proved that despite their three out-of-state losses at the Tournament of Champions, they are the team to beat in that class.

In Class 4A, we’re seeing a load of deserving teams without enough spots to rank them. All of the teams on the radar could probably be listed in the top 10 without much of an argument. In Class 3A, the teams stay the same, even if they shuffled positions a bit.

A few notable games this week:

Prairie at Skyview, Tuesday, 7 p.m.

Jackson at Meadowdale, Wednesday, 7:30 p.m.

Ballard at Eastlake, Wednesday, 7:30 p.m.
