New basketball rankings

A crazy week, as noted earlier on the blog, resulted in a lot of shuffling for the newest rankings. That’s particularly true in Class 4A, where Curtis and Garfield make their debuts. Curtis won the SPSL South at 13-1, and Garfield has won seven consecutive games, with wins against Kentridge and Federal Way on its resume.

Snohomish, a preseason top-10 team, sneaks back into the girls 4A rankings after an impressive comeback victory against previously undefeated Lake Stevens last night.

Notable boys games this week:

Kennedy at Mt. Rainier, tonight, 7 p.m.

Decatur vs. Kentwood, tonight, 7:30 p.m. at Tahoma

Auburn at Auburn Riverside, Friday, 7:30 p.m.

Renton at Kennedy, Friday, 8 p.m.

Franklin at Garfield, Friday, 8 p.m.
