Best Home Court Advantage?

Many league and district tournaments begin tonight. And because most first-round games are at home sites, it got me thinking: what are the best home-court advantages in the area?

I’ve never seen a game at Kentridge, but the Chargers fans have been impressive at the tournaments where I’ve seen them. The Marysville-Pilchuck gym is one of those great gyms that can get nice and loud. And I imagine seeing a game at the legendary Mount Vernon gym would be a blast.

But you folks out there are the fans that contribute to the best home-court advantages. Make the case why your home gym is the toughest place for an opponent to play in the state.

Tonight’s top games

1. O’Dea at Rainier Beach, boys basketball, 7 p.m. Top-ranked 3A team will get test from defending state champs.

2. Inglemoor at Garfield, boys basketball, 7:30 p.m. Tenth-ranked Bulldogs look to make it three in a row over Inglemoor.

3. Oak Harbor at Jackson, girls basketball, 7:30 p.m. Top-seeded Jackson begins it NW 4A district title defense against 14-6 Wildcats.
