Your championship picks, please

OK, you’ve had a few hours to digest yesterday’s 4A state draws, so it’s time to voice your predictions. Who will win the titles?

My picks? You’ll have to wait until our four-page pullout appears in Wednesday’s paper. Tom, Craig, Zach, Joshua and I all will be forecasting the scores for both championship games.

Remember, you have to abide by the draw possibilities. Even if you believe the two best girls teams are Lewis and Clark of Spokane and Prairie of suburban Vancouver, for instance, you can’t pick them to play in the final because they are both in the upper half of the bracket. That would be a dynamite semifinal, barring any upsets.

Speaking of upsets, how about predicting one or two of those? Most years, there are at least a couple. After all, it’s why they play the games, right?

On the boys side, do you have Ferris and Franklin penciled into Saturday’s championship game? That’s tempting, of course, but who else do you like?

First-round tip-offs are just a little over 48 hours away. It’s time to state your case. And feel free to predict the 1A and 2B champs, too.
