KingCo showcasing soccer this weekend

Last fall, the Eastside KingCo teams sent three teams to Class 4A quarterfinals — where Eastlake ultimately won — and also had the Class 3A champion, Issaquah (which has won three of the last four years). So this year, the KingCo conferences decided to put together a showcase event, one in which every one of the KingCo teams from 4A and 3A will play on Saturday.

The schedule is below, and I’d like to point out the final game between Issaquah and Tualitan of Oregon, which is the equavalent of when the WIAA brings in a top team from out-of-state for the Emerald City Kickoff Classic. Combined, the two teams have won five state titles in the past five seasons, that one whould be a good one. They play at 5 p.m. at Eastlake.

Eastlake plays before that game against plateau rival Skyline at 3 p.m.
