Mariner HS Had Fun Raiser for Lake Stevens Coach

Here’s a good story that was talked about in our HS forum:

As you may or may not know, the Mariner football team had a fundraiser today [Sept. 27] for Lake Stevens coach Kyle Bigham. They worked out a deal with Jersey Mike’s Subs to give 15% of the proceeds from the sales for today to Coach Biggs. The Mariner team was also at the stores around getting cash donations. They reported $750.00 in cash today and plan on passing the can at their homecoming game this Friday. As a Lake Stevens parent and fan, I cannot express how deeply this gesture has touched me! A huge thank you and “that a boy” from all of us to all of you.

We had multiple reports about Biggs’ health, but missed this generous outpour of support from Mariner. A very classy gesture by a very classy program.

If you want to read more on Biggs and see how you can help, check out this site.
