Friday Morning Stars

1. Sarah Lord, Redmond, girls cross-country. Lord won the KingCo 4A meet at Lincoln Park with a time of 18:34, 22 seconds ahead of second-place finisher and teammate Jillian Jaccard. Redmond’s Aiden Irish won the boys race in 15:23.

2. Jesse Hopson, Franklin, football. How about the Quakers? They go into Rainier Beach and get a huge win, putting them in a three-way tie with Beach and Nathan Hale for second place in the Metro Sound. Hopson caught the winning 20-yard touchdown pass as time expired, and he also had an 80-yard kickoff return.

3. MacKenzie Garrett and Emma Levy, Eastlake, girls soccer. Both Garrett and Levy scored hat tricks in a 7-0 win against Lake Washington. Teammate Emily Hurd had a goal and five assists.
