Some thoughts with only one more week before the postseason:
-Lewis & Clark’s 15-14 win against Ferris last week went a long way toward making the Greater Spokane League’s last week more interesting. But my guess is that the Saxons and Central Valley, a narrow winner against Gonzaga Prep, are still the teams that emerge — and the defending 4A champs will likely to be left out of the postseason.
-A pair of great cross-over games in KingCo this week: Bothell at Skyline and Woodinville at Issaquah. And then there’s the Metro championship game: Eastside Catholic vs. West Seattle.
-After playing Bellevue tough, Liberty remains in the 3A top 10. But the Patriots play Mount Si this Friday for second place in KingCo 2A/3A, and look at Mount Si’s schedule and you’ll realize the Wildcats will be no treat. Their three losses have come against Eastlake, Issaquah and Bellevue.
-After a win against Enumclaw, Peninsula makes its debut in the 3A top 10.
