Friday Morning Stars

1. Anna Geldenhuys, Sammamish, girls soccer. Geldenhuys scored Sammamish’s first two goals, and the Totems held on against Bellevue for a 3-2 victory in a loser-out game in the KingCo 3A tournament.

2. Maddy Mercier, Bishop Blanchet, girls soccer. The Braves are still alive this postseason, and they have Mercier to thank (along with some fine goaltending). She scored the only goal of a 1-0 win against Holy Names in the Metro tournament.

3. Cody McNeil, Auburn Mountainview, football. In the final game of the season for Mountainview, McNeil scored twice on runs, then scored on an interception return, and finally, he threw for a score, too. Mountainview won 47-14.
