Wednesday Morning Stars

1. Annie Sittauer, Everett, girls soccer. Sittauer scored four goals in a playoff game, a 7-1 victory against North Kitsap in the round of 16.

2. Brett Kirschner, Interlake, football. Huge win for the Saints on Tuesday night, beating North Mason to advance to the Class 2A round of 16 (they’ll have a tough game with Lynden Saturday). And Kirschner ran 28 times for 186 yards and two touchdowns, and he added an 18-yard receiving touchdown.

3. Agen Heffernan, Shorecrest, girls soccer. To give Shorecrest a playoff win on the road in Spokane, Heffernan scored the winning goal in the second minute of overtime in a 1-0 victory against East Valley of Spokane. Caroline Towles got her 13th shutout of the season for Shorecrest.
