Final: No. 1 Skyline 38, No. 3 Auburn 2

When Skyline went up big, Auburn just didn’t have the horses to get back in it today. Skyline QB Jake Heaps threw a couple touchdown passes in the second half, and the Spartans won easily, 38-2. Heaps finished with 204 yards on 17-of-24 passing, WR Gino Simone had a receiving and return touchdown, and junior RB Nick Washburn ran for 101 yards and a score. Pretty complete game.

The Spartans play Ferris next week, most likely in Spokane. That decision will come most likely Sunday or early Monday.

Auburn’s offense did not score. Auburn, which had averaged 382 yards rushing, finished with 151 yards on 41 carries. The Trojans finish the season 11-1.
