Cascade Christian still up at the half

The Cougars could have a bigger lead, but have to settle for that 7-3 advantage at the half. After the go-ahead TD, a Cashmere fumble — the Bulldogs’ third turnover of the game — gave them the ball near midfield again.

The Cougs drove inside the 10, but wound up going for a 25-yard field-goal try after the drive stalled at the 8. Jonathan Felczak’s kick sailed wide right.

Should be a good battle in the second half. Cashmere, remember, knocked off top-ranked Royal (last year’s champion) in the semifinals to get here.
