Boys basketball rankings (12/7/08)

The West Central District tournament in 4A is already shaping up to be extremely competitive. After one week of play — some teams have yet to play a game — eight teams in our 4A top 10 will be in that tournament.

Kentridge, which beat Kentlake behind 34 points by sophomore point Gary Bell, moves into the 10th spot. That means five SPSL teams and three Narrows League teams are in the rankings, and getting through both those leagues is going to be torture. But the teams that emerge to state are going to be battle-tested.
