Snow day

No morning stars today. Snow and ice around the Sound canceled 99.9% of the sporting events yesterday and most of the action will be probably be postponed through the weekend.

One group of champions did fight through the flurry, however. Kentlake and Auburn Riverside wrestling.

The Falcons beat the Ravens 51-21 behind seven pin falls. So congratulations to them.

With many readers — and writers — at home for the day, I figured we could open the thread up. What prep sports memories do you have in the snow?

Back in ’03 in my soccer playing days at Bellingham, I remember one spring game against city-rival Sehome. It was March or April, but out of nowhere came a flash snow storm, and unfortunately for us, the Mariners were in all-white uniforms.

I conveniently used Sehome’s unexpected camouflage as an excuse for my poor play and a bad defeat.
