Girls basketball rankings

Some girls basketball teams haven’t played in over a week, and of those ranked teams that did, only Auburn Mountainview (No. 10 in Class 3A at the time) lost to a team in its own classification (Bonney Lake), so you won’t see much movement in this week’s list.

Shadle Park of Spokane remains at No. 5 in 3A despite the loss to Lewis and Clark, top-rated in Class 4A. Auburn Mountainview drops out, and once again it wasn’t easy to decide who to put in that No. 10 spot — Bonney Lake? Liberty? East Valley of Spokane? East Valley (3-2) got the nod after playing Mead (ranked No. 7 in 4A) awfully tough last week, losing by only four. E-V’s other loss has been to L-C.

If Liberty keeps winning, look for the Patriots to jump in there before long.

These rankings will stand until Jan. 5.

2. Kentwood (Convington) 6-0

3. Moses Lake 6-1
