Christmas Eve Morning Stars

1. Brittany Ruscha, Mariner, girls basketball. Ruscha scored 34 points and had 10 rebounds to lead Mariner to a 61-54 nonleague min against Sedro-Wooley. Mariner came back from a 30-23 halftime deficit to win, and Ruscha scored 20 points in the second half.

2. Peyton Siva, Franklin, boys basketball. He won the tournament MVP award at the King of the Bluegrass Holiday Classic, and what choice did the tournament have? In the final two games of the tournament, Siva scored 61 points and shot 28-of-31 at the free-throw line.

3. Lexi Peterson, Seattle Christian, girls basketball. In the fourth quarter of a 57-43 win against Kentlake, Peterson hit seven of 9 free throws and finished with 17 points in the Carly Stowell Tournament.
