Tuesday Morning Stars

1. Kayla Shira, Kentlake, gymnastics. Shira received an impressive all-around score of 37..2 in a three-team meet on Monday night, with a score of 9.5 on the beam, 9.4 on the vault and 9.3 on the bars.

2. Marcissa McMillan, Lindbergh, girls basketball. McMillan scored 29 points to lead Lindbergh to a 64-25 victory against Tyee. Arinesha Smith scored 18 of Tyee’s points.

3. Airashay Rogers, Hazen, girls basketball. Rogers scored 20 as Hazen outlasted Foster 60-58. Foster wasa led by 21 poitns by Sara Paponjak.

TONIGHT’S BIG GAME

Chief Sealth at Seattle Prep, boys basketball, 7:30 p.m. Even after last weekend’s loss to Bainbridge, Sealth enters this game at 6-2 and 3-1 in the Metro League so far. But 10th-ranked Seattle Prep will present a lot of problems for Jordan Kidd and the Seahawks, from Prep’s athletic guards to its size down low.
