Tuesday Morning Stars

1. Kelsey Patrick and Samantha Sovich, Kamiak, girls basketball. This pair joined Kamiak’s record book on Monday night. Patrick, who scored 31 points, tied the school record with seven made three-pointers.And with six steals, Sovich became the new school record holder for career steals with 154. She also holds the school game and season records.

2. Alex Schrempf, Bellevue, boys basketball. This 6-foot-5 forward could not have come up bigger in the past two games. With 25 points and 16 rebounds against Bellarmine Prep on Monday night, Schrempf has had back-to-back double-doubles, totally 48 points and 26 boards in the two games.

3. Vonchae Richardson, Franklin, boys basketball. Richardson scored 11 points against Garfield, but it was his defense that earns him this spot. Richardson was a major pain in the side of Garfield’s Tony Wroten on Monday night, never giving Garfield’s star sophomore an inch.
