Wednesday Morning Stars

1. Tanner Riley, Mount Si, boys basketball. Riley had 33 points and four assists to lead the Wildcats to a 72-59 win against Juanita. With Bellevue’s narrow win against Mercer Island, Mount Si is now tied with Mercer Island for second in the KingCo 2A/3A.

2. Patrick Hunzinger and Chris Choi, Kamiak, boys swimming. Hunziker (200 IM, 100 fly) and Choi (200 free, 500 free) won two events apiece to lead Kamiak to a win against defending Class 4A champ Snohomish 118-68 and Glacier Peak 151-18 to finish 12-0, the school’s first undefeated WesCo dual meet finish in 10 years.

3. Peyton Siva, Franklin, boys basketball. It’s never easy to play at Seattle Prep, but Siva made it look so, making 11 of 17 shots — 5 of 8 three-pointers — to lead the Quakers with 32 points in a 65-53 victory.
