Thursday Morning Stars

1. Jennifer Jansen, Oak Harbor, girls basketball. Oak Harbor needed all of Jansen’s 25 points to beat Edmonds-Woodway 52-49 and keep its season alive. The Wildcats will play Jackson for the Northwest District’s final state berth.

2. Shaquille McKissic, Kentridge, boys basketball. McKissic scored 21 point to lead Kentridge to a 58-42 win against Rogers to stay alive in the West Central District tournament. That sets up an great winner-to-state game between Kentridge and Kentwood.

3.. Airashay Rogers, Hazen, girls basketball. Rogers scored 27 points as Hazen almost upset White River in a winner-to-state game in the West Central-Southwest Bi-District tournament.
