2:27 4th qtr — Madison hits a bucket from under the basket to make it 59-29. A happy-looking Williams takes a seat on the bench, replaced by senior Jamie Yellam.
3:54 4th qtr — O’Neill has fouled out, replaced by Hailey Helber. Allie Madison comes in for the Lancers. 56-29 Kennedy.
Update from the boys game — Bellevue has made up a lot of ground in an improbable comeback against Columbia River. Bellevue was down double digits with less than a minute to go. The teams are now playing in OT.
6:27 4th qtr — Meadowdale’s Michaela O’Neill hits a nice three-pointer practically from the sidelines to make it 51-26 Kennedy. O’Neill comes back for another bucket. 52-28.
End of the 3rd qtr — Kennedy 49, Meadowdale 21. It’s turning into a rout for the Lancers.
1:20 3rd qtr — Another effortless looking three from Fuller. And ANOTHER. Amazing — three in a row. And a wide open bucket from Brown on a Fuller assist. Kennedy, secure in a 25 point lead on a 15-1 run, has pulled some of its starters.
2:10 3rd qtr — A big three from Fuller has the Kennedy crowd in an uproar. The Lancers now hold an 18 point lead, 38-20.
3:37 3rd qtr — Brown is not happy about her second foul, but Meadowdale misses a tre to give Kennedy possession again. Goins gets the score. This is proving to be the difference in the game — Kennedy is more effective converting its possessions to baskets. 35-20.
4:33 3rd qtr — Alexis Nugent and Gabi Beyer score three (bucket for Nugent, free throw for Beyer) but Lemon scores again to mkae it 31-18. Fjortoft comes down the line for a nice two-pointer, and Kennedy takes a time out. 31-20.
6:30 3rd qtr — Fjortoft scores the first bucket of the half, and Brown and Lemon quickly respond with another four points. 29-13 Lancers.
Some halftime numbers: Meadowdale was 2/9 FG for a 22.2 percent shooting average. Kennedy was 6/21 for 28.6 percent. Fjortoft has put up seven points for the Mavericks. Yaz Fuller leads Kennedy with seven, Aminah Williams has six and Andrea Goins has four.
At the half — Kennedy 25, Meadowdale 11. This has been u-g-l-y. The Mavericks have made just two field goals in the game, one in each quarter. Kennedy hit only one field goal in the second period. The free throws are ridiculous (back with just how ridiculous in a few minutes).
2:12 2nd qtr — Meadowdale has missed the front ends of three 1-and-1s. Kennedy leads 23-9 and Yaz Fuller (2 fouls) is back in the game along with Jasmine Lemon (2 fouls).

4:00 2nd qtr — Alexis Nugent ends a five-minute scoring drought for Meadowdale, but Kennedy gets two more free throws (these from Andrea Goins, who is 4-for-4 this quarter). Kennedy 22, Meadowdale 8.
5:27 2nd qtr — This has become an early parade to the free-throw line. Both teams have 9 fouls. Jennica McPhearson just hit 1 of 2 for Kennedy, which leads 18-6.
6:00 2nd qtr — Daidra Brown just missed two free throws. Last night, she made 10 straight in the 2nd half. Kennedy leads 15-6 with Fjortoft at the line. She missed the front of a 1-and-1.
7:11 2nd qtr — Fuller picked up her second foul quickly and goes to the bench. Allie Madison, who came in for Lemon, hits two free throws and is back at the line with Kennedy leading 14-6. Time out Meadowdale.
End of 1st — Williams nails a three-ball just before the end of the quarter as Kennedy opens up 12-6 lead. Meadowdale scored 1 point in the final 4:31.
1:10 1st qtr — The Lancers get their first lead (7-5) on a basket by Aminah Williams off a feed from Fuller. Fjortoft adds another free throw for Meadowdale and has all six of their points.
2:50 1st qtr — Kennedy trailed 5-0 (all five from Fjortoft) before Yaz Fuller got them on the board. Fuller followed with another driving basket and tacked on a free throw. It’s 5-5.
4:48 1st qtr — Fjortoft has 2 more free throws and Meadowdale has a 3-0 lead. Jasmine Lemon was just called for an offensivev foul, her second foul of the game, and she takes a seat.
5:39 1st qtr — Both teams are off to a slow start. Julia Fjortoft made 1 of 2 free throws for Meadowdale and Kennedy has yet to score.
Pregame — Introductions are just under way in the second semifinal of the 3A girls tournament between top-ranked, unbeaten Kennedy and No. 10 Meadowdale. The winner will play No. 5 Shadle Park of Spokane in tomorrow’s championship game. Shadle used some tough defense to down No. 7 Holy Names in the first semi, 43-28.
