Northwest Shootout girls roster

The Washington girls roster is set for the Northwest Shootout, which traditionally features some of the top high-school seniors, boys and girls, from Washington and Oregon.

This year’s games are Saturday, April 18, at the Chiles Center in Portland, with the girls playing at 4 p.m., followed by the boys at 6 p.m.

Kentwood’s Lindsey Moore, named this week as The Seattle Times’ state Player of the Year, leads the Washington lineup and is joined by two other all-state first-team choices — Katie Benson from Snohomish and Carley Noyes from Moses Lake.

Kentwood and Snohomish, which finished 1-2 at the 4A state tournament earlier this month, each have another player on the roster — Jessie Genger (Kentwood) and Karley Lampman (Snohomish). Lewis and Clark from Spokane also has two representatives in Jeneva Anderson and Sarah Kliewer. Anderson has signed with Washington.

Rounding out the team are Jacqie Evenson (Federal Way), Nichole Jackson (Auburn Riverside) and Kenzie DeBoer (Lynden Christian).

That’s some kind of talent. Ted Carlson of Enumclaw is the head coach this year.

We expect to have the boys rosters next week, so be sure to check back.
