Friday Morning Stars

1. Softball no-hitters. There have been a ton of them so far this season. There were four more on Thursday night: Amanda Fitzsimmons, Auburn Riverside (7 IP, 13 Ks); Dani Jackman, Jackson (5 IP, 11 Ks); Farleigh Winters, Holy Names (5 IP, 10 Ks); and Toni Spadoni, Kennedy (5 IP, 9 Ks).

2. Chris Viltz, Lake Washington, baseball. Vilte went 3-of-4, stole two bases, and in the eighth inning, he hit the go-ahead RBI single in LW’s 2-0 victory against Roosevelt. That KingCo 4A is shaping up as one of the deepest conferences imaginable.

3. Corrine Stillman, Stanwood, softball. Not only did Stillman throw a six-hit shutout against Arlington, she supplied the only two runs in her victory iwth a go-ahead two-run home run in the top of the seventh inning.
