Florida pitcher throws fourth straight no-hitter

I mentioned Patrick Schuster last week on the blog after he threw his third consecutive no-hitter for Mitchell High School in Trinity, Florida.

Monday he threw his fourth no-no in a row, striking out 17 batters in a 5-0 win against county rival Pasco.

Schuster’s streak began April 3. He’s piled up 60 strikeouts in the four games, helping Mitchell to a 19-3 record. He’s 7-0 on the season.

Not a bad month for the Florida recruit, who could very well go pro.

The national record for consecutive no-hitters is six and ESPN has taken quite a liking to Schuster’s streak. Apparently the current record-holder works for the worldwide leader.

Here is a video on the biggest high-school story of the season.
