Wednesday Morning Stars

1. Carly McEachran, Jackson, softball. Taking on one of the most feared pitchers in the area, McEachran hit a sixth-inning home run off Mountlake Terrace’s Kori Seidlitz to give Jackson a 1-0 victory. Teammate Dani Jackman pitched the shutout.

2. Nick Christie, Ballard, boys soccer. In the ninth minute of overtime, Christie avoided a tie by scoring the winning goal against Newport. He also had an assist on Ballard’s other goal.

3. Dylan Davis and Michael Conforto, Redmond, baseball. This pair of sophomores each homered in a 7-6 win against Lake Washington, and so they remain tied for the KingCo 4A’s league lead in home runs with five apiece. Redmond stays in a tie with Skyline for first in the KingCo Crest, and with Bothell’s loss to Eastlake, LW is also still tied for the KingCo Crown lead.
