Friday Morning Stars

1. Lindsay Willman, Bainbridge, softball. In what must be one of the games of the year, Holy Names and Bainbridge went 10 innings, 9 1/2 of them scoreless. But after Willman — who allowed just one hit and struck out 13 — kept Holy Names off the board in the 10th, it opened the door for freshman Cali Moore to score on an error and give Bainbridge the win.

2. Andre Popich, O’Dea, baseball. Popich went 2-for-3 and drove in the winning run in the bottom of the seventh to give the Irish a 5-4 victory against No. 2 Eastside Catholic. It was Eastside’s first Metro loss of the season, and the Crusaders play No. 1 Bishop Blanchet today at Lower Woodland.

3. Gabe Barnow, Interlake, girls golf. Barnow won a match with Eastlake with a one-over 37, beating out the second-place finisher by nine strokes. But Eastlake won the match by two strokes, 264-266.
