Tuesday Morning Stars

1. Colin Hering, Newport, baseball. Not only did Hering go 3-for-4 with two doubles and 4 RBIs, he also held No. 5 Skyline to no runs and five hits over six innings in an 8-1 Newport upset. Skyline drops a game behind Redmond (a 6-1 winner against Garfield) in the KingCo Crest.

2. Kylie Sparks, Juanita, softball. Sparks threw six shutout innings, allowing just two hits and a walk, against Interlake, and she added a double and three RBIs.

3. Ryan Brett, Highline, baseball. Brett broke an 8-all tie in the bottom of the sixth with a two-run home run, and Highline beat Lindbergh 10-9. Brett finished 2-for-3 with a triple, that home run and three runs.
