Friday Morning Stars

1. Bainbridge baseball. In back to back games, the Spartans swept No. 1 Bishop Blanchet, radically changing the Metro Mountain Division. Eastside Catholic now has a half-game lead on Blanchet, which is even in the loss column with O’Dea. Bainbridge beat Blanchet 3-0 on Wednesday and then came from behind to win 6-5 Thursday, with the winning run coming in on a bases-loaded walk.

2. Markeem Adams, West Seattle, track & field. Adams ran the 200 in 21.94 seconds, the third-fastest time in the state this season and the fastest among Class 3A athletes.

3. Max McKinley, Shorewood, boys golf. McKinley shot a one-under 35 to win first place at a four-team meet at Jackson Park Golf Course.
