Tuesday Morning Stars

1. Chelsea Saelee, Mercer Island, girls golf. Saelee, a freshman, shot a 3-under 69 at Snohomish Golf Course to win the KingCo golf title. The next closest finsher, a teammate, shot an 80; Saelee won the title by 11 strokes!

2. KingCo baseball shutouts: Colin Hering, Newport, and Tyler Staudacher, Lake Washington. Hering threw a three-hit shutout against a mighty Redmond lineup, and Staudacher threw a four-hit shutout of Skyline to set up a KingCo 4A championship game between Lake Washington and Newport on Thursday. Both teams have already qualified for the state tournament.

3. Kevin Goodwin, Seattle Prep, boys soccer. In the 90th minute — overtime — Goodwin scored on an assist from Sam Wall to give the Panthers a 3-2 victory in the Metro League tournament.
