Wednesday Morning Stars

1. Natalie Allen, Holy Names, girls tennis. Allen won another Metro League tennis title, beating out teammate Rachel Storz 6-2, 6-1 in the championship game. Reid de Laubenfels of Nathan Hale won the boys title.

2. Julia Nealer, Lynnwood. Nearler threw a no-hitter against Glacier Peak in a 1-0 victory; she struck out 15 batters with only a pair of walks.

3. Braden Allen, Snohomish, baseball. In a winner-to-state game, Allen threw a two-hit shutout of Kamiak, leading the defending state champion Panthers back into the state tournament.

LATE BONUS ADDITION: Erick Raynes, Inglemoor, baseball. Senior 1st baseman hit a grand slam and a 2-run home run to help Inglemoor beat Skyline 11-4.
