Bainbridge beat Holy Names 6-2 for the 3A state softball championship in an all-Metro League showdown. It was the fifth meeting of the season between the two teams and gives the Spartans a 3-2 advantage. Hats off to both teams.

Kelso crushed Mountlake Terrace 13-2 in six innings to claim the 4A title. The Hilanders crushed the ball, bashing a pair of home runs. It was the final game for Hawks coach Kim Stewart, who is retiring after 14 seasons.
It was a great showing by Terrace.
Auburn Riverside and Walla Walla are playing the 4A consolation game. Walla Walla eliminated Redmond earlier this afternoon.
