Area state champions for the 2008-09 school year

A list of all of the local state champions, all 35 of the teams, are after the jump. Four schools managed to win at least two state championships this year, and a pair of them won three. King’s even managed a fourth championship.

King’s: 1A volleyball, boys golf, girls cross-country and boys track and field.

Mercer Island: 3A girls cross-country, boys swimming and girls tennis.

Skyline: 4A football and girls soccer.

Kennedy: 3A girls basketball and girls swimming.
