Quaker Summer Slam begins Friday

A pretty loaded field of high-school basketball teams will begin play Friday in the Quaker Summer Slam. The games are Friday through Sunday, with the championship game at 6:20 p.m. Sunday at Franklin.

You can see the bracket and admission prices here..

These are some of the more interesting first-round games on Friday:

O’Dea vs. Curtis, 6:10 p.m. at Rainier Vista Boys & Girls Club

Foss vs. Renton, 7:45 p.m. at Franklin

Jackson vs. Seattle Prep, 4 p.m. at Franklin

Bellevue vs. Eisenhower, 8:55 p.m. at Franklin

Kentwood vs. Bainbridge, 6:20 p.m. at Franklin

Other notable teams: Federal Way (defending 4A champ), Franklin (defending 3A champ), Garfield (4A runner-up), Jefferson of Oregon (defending Oregon 5A champ).
