Video: Hail Mary answered by Hillsboro High School (Ore.)

Down in Oregon, five seconds remained in a matchup between crosstown rivals No. 3 Glencoe and No. 5 Hillsboro. Hillsboro was on the Glencoe 39-yard line trailing 21-20.

No problem, right?

Just dial up a 61-yard bomb from Dominique Mims to Colt Lyerla (who according to Scout.com has offers from Oklahoma, Hawaii, Oregon and Oregon State) and cue the celebration.

Check out the video. That’s a heckuva throw from a high-school quaterback.

Lyerla, a 6-foot-5 junior, scored all four of Hillsboro’s touchdowns, had 190 yards rushing, led his team in tackles and blocked an extra point in the game.

Not bad, eh?

Here’s a game report and another video from OregonLive.com.
