Late 3A volleyball update

Here’s a matchup I love — Mount Si vs. Blanchet in the 3A state volleyball semifinals.

Why?

For one reason, because it means a Seattle-area team will be in the championship match tonight against either Mount Spokane or Prairie.

Mount Si rallied for a 2-1 deficit to beat Camas in the quarterfinals — a match that lasted past midnight. Blanchet came on strong down the stretch to defeat a scrappy Meadowdale team that had upset on its mind after winning the second set and jumping to a sizeable lead in the third.

One more day of volleyball over here in Kennewick, with the 3A and 2A titles up for grabs. Be sure to check back.
