Saturday night’s high-school highlights

Here is a look back at the high-school action from Saturday night:

Wrestling

Interlake’s Christian Schultz, 145 pounds, pinned four opponents to reach the Renton Invitational finals on Saturday. He then beat Mount Rainier’s Markuss Surrat, 7-4, to win his weight class.

Girls basketball

Mercel Pounds, a senior shooting guard, finished with 31 points — she hit 6 of 9 from the three-point line — four rebounds, six steals and a block in Bonney Lake’s 77-29 win over Clover Park.

Brooke Paulson scored 21 points in White River’s 47-44 win over Auburn Mountainview.

Kara Kogle finished with 20 points in Seattle Christian’s 48-26 win over Bellevue Christian.

Boys basketball

Michael Patenaude scored a game-high 23 points, but Auburn Mountainview fell to White River, 67-58.

Jason Tyler finished with 19 for White River.

Andre’ Winston Jr. scored 20 points to lead fourth-ranked Lakes to a 63-54 win over Franklin Pierce.

Mike Murphy scored 26 points in Sumner’s 89-82 win over Peninsula.
