Here is a look back at high-school basketball action from Wednesday night:
LYNNWOOD — Meadowdale sophomore Margreet Barhoum scored a career-high 22 points as the Mavericks routed seventh-ranked Shorecrest 66-46 in WesCo girls basketball Wednesday night at Meadowdale.
Julia Fjortoft added 13 points, eight rebounds, seven assists and five steals for Meadowdale in the matchup of the top two Class 3A teams in the combined 4A/3A WesCo Conference.
Meadowdale and Shorecrest, both 11-6 overall, are tied for third place in the South Division at 10-5 behind Edmonds-Woodway (14-1) and Jackson (12-3). Each has three regular-season game left.
Shorecrest beat Meadowdale 53-46 in the first meeting between the schools, Jan. 6 at Shorecrest.
Other girls highlights
Jessica Denmon of Oak Harbor scored 31 in a 67-53 WesCo North win over Arlington. She lifted her scoring average to 19.9.
— Amanda Frost hit a go-ahead three-pointer in the final 20 seconds for Woodinville, and the fifth-ranked Falcons added two insurance free throws to edge Skyline 54-51 in KingCo 4A. Kassia Fortier scored 21 for Skyline. Melissa Gilkey led Woodinville with 19.
— Senior guard Chandler Jones hit eight three-pointers and matched her season high with 33 points in Redmond’s 82-55 KingCo 4A win over Ballard.
— Natalie Frank hit six three-pointers and finished with 26 points and six rebounds to help Bainbridge beat Bishop Blanchet 73-68 in a double-overtime Metro League game. Tess Cathey of Bishop Blanchet made a tying three-pointer at the buzzer in regulation to tie it.
