It’s official — Federal Way will move from the SPSL 4A North Division to the South Division this fall.
The SPSL Principals Association made the determination earlier this month based on a coin flip between Federal Way and Jefferson.
Federal Way appealed to the West Central District Executive Board, but the decision was upheld last Friday.
This keeps nine teams in each division. Federal Way will be in the South with Bethel, Beamer, Curtis, Emerald Ridge, Graham-Kapowsin, Puyallup, Rogers and Spanaway Lake. Jefferson stays in the North with Auburn, Auburn Riverside, Kent-Meridian, Kentlake, Kentridge, Kentwood, Mount Rainier (which drops from Seamount 3A this fall) and Tahoma.
Decatur, currently in the SPSL South, is joining the SPSL 3A that also will include Auburn Mountainview, Bonney Lake, Enumclaw, Lakes and Peninsula.
The new SPSL 2A encompasses Clover Park, Eatonville, Fife, Franklin Pierce, Steilacoom, Sumner, Washington and White River.
