Northwest Shootout rosters

Here is some information on the 2010 Les Schwab Northwest Shootout, which takes place April 17.

Who: 10 senior boys from Washington vs. 10 from Oregon.

10 senior girls from Washington vs. 10 from Oregon.

Players selected by state coaches associations.

What: Postseason all-star basketball games.

Where: Chiles Center on University of Portland campus.

When: Girls game at 4 p.m. and Boys game at 6 p.m.

Why: A showcase honor for the top prep basketball players from Oregon and Washington in a competitive state rivalry game for the fans. It’s also a fundraiser: all proceeds to the Multnomah Athletic Foundation to support disadvantaged athletes, youth athletics and scholarships. (Attached is a list of programs supported by MAF)

Admission: $10 for reserved seats, $7 for general admission, $5 for students.

Pregame: Team practices are scheduled for Friday, April 16, between 8:30 and 4:30 at the Multnomah Athletic Club, 1849 SW Salmon. The player banquet will be at 6 p.m. on April 16, also at the MAC.

History: This is the 17th annual Northwest Shootout. Oregon boys have won ten of the sixteen previous games. Oregon girls have won seven of the sixteen previous games. Both Washington teams won the last two years’ contests. Some of the more accomplished players from previous games: Adam Morrison, Maarty Leunen, Luke Jackson, Michael Dunleavy, Dan Dickau, Salim Stoudamire, Michael Dickerson, Josh Tarver, Jason Terry, Michael Doleac, Fred Jones, Aaron Miles, Terrance Williams, Josh Hietfelt, Betsy Boardman, Kara Braxton, Jillian Harmon, Chantelle Anderson, Lauren Greif, Jill Noe and Lindsey Yamasaki.
