Friday’s spring high-school highlights

Here is a look back at the high school sports action from Thursday, compiled by Brady Henderson.


— Beamer’s Emma Blauser and Cara Custer of Spanaway Lake each threw seven-inning no-hitters, but a Beamer error gave Custer and Spanaway Lake a 2-0 win.

Custer struck out 12 to Blauser’s eight. Both had two walks.

— Kelli Crawford allowed one run in eight innings as Franklin Pierce beat Peninsula, 2-1, in extra innings. Crawford allowed three hits, struck out nine and walked three to improve her record to 11-4.

Teammate Leeandra Wheelock doubled twice and scored a run.

— Juanita’s Jessica Leach doubled, homered and drove in seven runs in a 9-0 win against Mount Si. Kylie Sparks allowed two hits in four scoreless innings.

— Lindsay Robinson homered and drove in three runs in Jackson’s 7-2 win against Edmonds-Woodway.

— Devan Larsen homered and drove in four runs in Monroe’s 10-0 win against Snohomish. Teammate Alyssa Egan allowed four hits and struck out five in five scoreless innings.

— Skyline’s Lauren Richards struck out 12 in a nine-inning, 4-3 win against Redmond. Richards allowed one earned run on four hits in the complete game.

Lindsey Nocholson tripled and homered for Skyline.

— Kennedy Catholic’s Jessica Lewis homered and drove in five runs in a 15-0, three-inning win against Tyee.

— Jessica Klump pitched six innings and allowed three unearned runs on four hits in Eatonville’s 4-3 win against Orting.

— Amber Manuel homered and drove in four runs in Archbishop Murphy’s 17-0 win against Sultan.

Maddy Huggins doubled twice, drove in four runs and scored four times. Anna Whitehouse and Marea Homes each had three RBI. Manuel allowed three hits in five scoreless innings.

— Rachel Hunter homered and drove in four runs in Bishop Blanchet’s 22-1 win against Lakeside. Sam Shanahan allowed an earned run in five innings and also had four RBI.


— Brady Kerr hit a two-run home run in Nathan Hale’s 12-1 win against Ingraham. Eric Luth doubled and drove in two runs.

— Nikko Kis-Young doubled twice and drove in three runs in Lindbergh’s 9-4 win against Evergreen.

Leo Fesili homered for Evergreen.

— Matt Wenzinger doubled, tripled and drove in five runs in Eastside Catholic’s 12-2 win against Bishop Blanchet.

— George McIntyre was 4-4 with a double, a triple and three RBI in Rainier Christian’s 8-7 win against Evergreen Lutheran. Nick Lovlien and Daniel Koens homered for Rainier Christian.

— Erik Lund, Andy Littlefield and Griffen Walker all drove in two runs apiece in Cedar Park Christian’s 8-4 win against University Prep.

— Chris Guinn hit a solo home run in Kamiak’s 6-3 loss to Glacier Peak.

— Andrew Helgren and Jordan Leonard each drove in four runs in Franklin’s 23-4 win against Cleveland.
